Yahoo Japan Auction

  Top of Page

Has anyone ever bought stuff off yahoo japan auctions?
How did you do it?

I'm looking at buying a few things now and more in the future. i.e
http://page17.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/v37209344
http://page12.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/p95176066

Also, alot of sellers say they will not ship internationally, has anyone pursuaded the sellers to ship internationally?

Try www.importmonster.com.au this site works off the yahoo JP auctions and is a lot easier and safer, it means that you won't get stung by sellers that don't ship to AU.

Re: Yahoo Japan Auction

yes i have brought a few things from yahoo auctions japan.....but 99.9% won't ship outside japan so you will need a contact in japan to have your item shipped to, Double postage unless you are going to visit them in Japan or your contact is comming here. you will have to pay a monthy joining fee about $5.50 as well. i am not sure but micheal (Phat gt) might be able to get item of there...hope this helps

I just read on rslibertyclub that the postage price for stuff on importmonster.com is the price for the whole package i.e item+postage
Is this correct, if so, disreguard my last post:)

Re: Yahoo Japan Auction

Aswell as signing up, you need atleast 50% of whatever you bid (ie you bid 5000yen, you need atleast 2500yen in you account), then if you win it, you get sent an invoice for the other 50% plus the shipping.

It just easier to have more money in the account than you think you'll need.

Also, if the part is small and not worth much (sticker, badge etc) shipping is still like $50......
