Wrx Vs B4

I'm in the market for a new car and wanting your unbiased opinion

Either a B4 or a rex, give me pros and cons on both,
and if any other 19/20 yr old has either of these cars, what insurance do you have?

WRX: Link

Leaning towards the B4 because i love the interior and looks, but the rex for the mods and performance.

hey, i found through just cars i can get a stock 99 wrx insured full comp for 2000. excess is a bit due to age (20) soon 21 :new_russi and the fact that people think they are HOT targets to steal or crash....

amii wants over 4000 from me and wont look at me if i have more then two mods. they even directed me to Just Car.

i like both of them personally.. i myself am leaning to the wrx as they can fall more in my price range, and they are a little more simple.. in theory, though today gave me a reality check!

They B4 is also 2 grand for me thru justcar insurance, ill try and put the car in my dads name again if i can lol

you can get my99/00 wrx's for a lot cheaper than that and a lot less modified. i highly recommend getting one that doesnt have that much work done on them...

i've seen many my99/00's for around $14k on rexnet.

Has to be in SA tho, just so much easier to organise everything, i dont mind if its modified as long as its done well (saves me the effort)
How does the performance compare B4 vs 99 WRX?

Depends if you want to be a sheep (WRX) or have something a bit different (B4).

Also every cop I drive past doesn't look twice at me, they just see a Gen3 Lib.

I may be biased, but I had to make exactly the same decision, in the end I chose to be different and don't regret it at all.

i cant see the point in paying more for no leather seats and a terrible looking body kit, plus i prefer sedans smile

the bottom line running across each dyno chart is the power atw of each car, and the other lines are with various upgrade kits S&J can do. the B4 can gain 30-35kW from just a EcuTek for under 2grand, where as the same tune on a rex gets you only 15-20kW gain.

BUT the wrx is lighter and smaller, and IMO a bit more sexy (flame ready)

to me it depends if you want something that is all out sports or something that is classy with power.

atm I'd prefer a 00 wrx because they are simpler (single turbo, less stuff in the engine bay) and have no major flaws such as the VOD and ping that i am aware of.

Theres no doubt that Rex would beat that B4 performance wise, but when i test drove a B4 i noticed no VOD or pinging.

... um stock output of the wrx is more then enough for u and i!!! well for a while ...

and the simple part is also what i was getting at!

gen 3 blitzen is a little interesting to look at.

but the point is about having something special. something different to the others.

im not a tradey. your freakish internet stalker techniques should have revealed this.

I like having a wagon coz

1)They're different to the majority
2)Unsuspecting to the constabulary
3)The ability to carry more things in the back
4)More action in the back than a sedan. Fold seats down, and happy times.

I challenge you to find all those features in a wrx or a sedan.

Just wondering what the power difference would be between a stock 99 rex and a B4? i know the B4 has more killawasps, but what is quickest to 100 or to the 1/4?
