When the Department of Education first started blocking websites at school we used to use proxies.... (CAUTION RANT!) then the IT people got smart to that and blocked them... and now they block everything they haven't categorized... (like 90% of the interweb machine) F***en government! END RANT!

So to actually HELP the OP, is there a way he can run OzLiberty forums without being detected by the IT team?

My suggestion would be to approach one of them that you trust, and basically bribe them with alcohol.

as i said in my first post going through a proxy site would probably work...
however possibly wont be able to sign in... (this depends on the proxy tho)
the only way i can see this not working is if they keep some sort of record of sites you visit and notice regular access to the proxy site... however id say they would feel pretty pleased with their implementation of censorship so wouldn't check said list too regularly... also many proxy sites offer other stuff aswell so u could claim u dont know what they are talking about!

hehehe school networks where fun when I was at school, we did have filtering and all that kind of crap, but when I did Software design in yr11 and 12 me and a few of my mates just used to play age of empires 2 against each other across the network.
Fun times wasting away valuable time that could be spend passing the HSC........... I highly recommend that people don't do it :umnik:
