by [J] on 05-08-07 09:45 AM Yes, I agree - Its not overly relevant, but it makes a good story, just like the whole P Platers are criminals and are going to kill everyone thing.. |

by Guest on 05-08-07 10:04 AM I think the point is they only go there to cause trouble, and now there's been an assault and the use of firearms..

Yeah thats a fair generalisation. How about we lower the speed limit to 5km an hour for drivers over 30, seeing as they have slower reaction time than us younger folks? What annoys me most about the article is that SMH seems to go to extreme lengths to link hoons to any story, even when there is no proof that hoons/hooning were involved in the slightest. Just because it was in an area where hooning occurs, they go off on a spiel about how bad young drivers are? |

There was a thread setup specifically for politics, All im seeing now is posts about right-wing parties, Labor vs liberal etc.. At the end of the day, I live in an area which is all Labor supporting, although unlike the rest, Im not a sheep, the shire is also a left wing haven too. What im tying to say is, I dont want to read posts portraying one persons political beliefs wrong compared to another. John howard didnt drive those cars that did that damage, and Certainly John Laws and Allan Jones, both have views which will be supported by many other people, just because you dont agree with them, it doesnt mean everyone else feels the same. Further more, I sincerely hope it never affects you, although having lost close friends and family through this rubbish, I dont give 2 f**s, if they crush your car or anyone elses on this forum if they were in the wrong!, along with mine, obviously you were booked for a reason too. |

by [J] on 05-08-07 11:00 AM I dont particularly have any problem with the media and Police cracking down on "Hoons".. Because at the end of the day, I dont want some d!ckhead hurting any of my family or friends when testing out their fully sik skills on a public road..

by Guest on 05-08-07 11:08 AM The hoons are the ones with loud pipes and 100% atmo BOV's, weaving in and out of traffic, continually breaking the speed limit, congregating in industrial areas for drags and time-attacks at night, and shooting and bashing each other with baseball bats.. |

by legacy rsk on 11-08-07 06:57 PM come down to brighton-le-sands you will see for your self. thu nights we get the motorbikers doing wheel stands up bay st, when i had my bike i had a meet (once only i must admint) with some of these people, most of them could not ride around a corner but could go fast in a straight line. fri, sat, sun nights you get the doof doof boys doing 80 + in a 40 while people are trying to have a coffee or eat dinner in peace. i wish the cops would patrol every night then they would obey the road rules.
