What wheels Fit

  Top of Page

Hi guys,

i just posted up a thread where you can post up pics of your rims with details, but im having trouble finding some rims to fit, at the moment i have 18x7.4 with 45 offset, and they dont fit, they stick out from the guard and every little bump i hit they rub and when i go hard around a corner they scrub. so is stock offset +55?
and what other rims fit part from Work and Rays rims, i cant find any other decent rims

Hi mate. Something doesn't seem to be right there, they should fit easy. What size tyres are on them?
I have 18x7.5 +35 wheels on my car and they don't scrub even though it's been dropped 50mm and They only stick out a little at the bottom due to camber.

not been dropped as far as i know, but they defiantly stick out too far, the wheel is flush with guard, and i aint into that hella flush look. tires are 225/40/18

took the car for a wheel alignment and 7.5 wide rims are too wide, im scrubbing inside and out on stock height.

Re: What wheels Fit

I reckon its the offset, the car sounds lowered to me. I have 215/40/18 on my CS9's 18x7 +55. I have heard of guys running 225/40/18 on these wheels without scrub. And 7.5" V7 STi wheels fit Gen3 too, they are +53 (quick google).

Have you got photos? Would make it a lot easier for people to help. I don't know much but stock offset is +55 I think.

Half an inch wider than stock is too wide? Heaps of people run wider rims. What tyres are you running? What are the rims?

Now that there is pics, I don't think its lowered, looks stock B4 height. Its just the offset causing issues. It wouldn't be rubbing on the inside right? Just on the guards.

the wheels are stamped as a 45 offset so they should fit.... going to get them measured over the chrissy break. i had a wheel alignment done, well Bob Jane attempted to do it, its still wrong, but they said it was scrubbing on the inside, but i think it was just a Toe in problem

from the others i looked at, unless every other B4 i saw was lowered aswell.

Re: What wheels Fit

ok, when black beauty took it to the car yard to trade, there were scrub marks on the outside of the rear tyres. So from the sounds of things the car yard has swapped the tyres inside out, if you know what I mean. there is no way that they are scrubbing on the inside. I do know this car very well, I have driven this car & it is a very nice car. You have done well with your purchase.
As tsg said its just the offset that is causing the scrubbing.

yeah its probably just Bob Jane not knowing what they are doing yet again.

part from the wheels hitting all the time for me, im loving the car. but you have to remeber i live in the country where a pothole is big enough to lose your car in and not Billiard table smooth Sydney roads tongue

What colour are your springs? Might be just how you parked then.

Re: What wheels Fit

lol. im looking for new wheels anyway, well found wheels, just cant decide if to go Bronze or Silver. not a fan of the rims on the car, the spokes stick out so i have already scratched them.

just trying to work out whats wrong, ive had the wheels off and they are stamped with a 45 offset, so i think its a fault with the wheel

Re: What wheels Fit

Stock offset is +55, there isn't much room with regard to offset space on a Gen3. I know of guys with 8.5" wide rims that have a similar offset to yours, and they complain about similar scrub, maybe consider something OEM?

Here is a GTB (wagon) with 8.5"... I think they are WORK or VOLK somethings. Notice the offset with the guards is similar. He has his stock height too.
