Congrats on the purchase... U will definitely not be disappointed, comfortable , pretty fuel efficient when driving it nicely and very pleasing to the eye. One thing don't listen to people if they talk about the oil usage being extremely high, its a myth.

check your oil is all...  like any car really..

Welcome to the forum dude, not sure why they are even mentioning oil. Every Car can use oil.....and im sure you would have kept an eye on it anyway as you should with any car.

Thanks for the welcome folks, it's an indication that we're traveling in good company. I like the way owners of the earlier Gen cars fly the flag so passionately, makes me feel like starting a project.

re the service shepp, the dealer - don't laugh - assures me that it has been done at a VACC workshop.

I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions regarding the best options for servicing so you'll be hearing from me.

Update:

Took possesion of the car today and very pleased with it indeed, a really nice package.
Early impression's are 1. how secure you feel within the thing and 2. the general togetherness of the ride.
The wife and me both are really looking foward to putting some country km's on the clock.
