I was planning to check my oil this morning but I no longer have the DIY to guide me. Very disappointed that n00bs come here to learn yet the bar is set very high. If i cant even learn how to check my oil, i dont think i will want to change my own oil.

Re: what happened...

nah dont change it, just keep filling it up.. until the oil comes flowing out of the filler tube then you know its got enough..(Suprisingly I have had to help my dad tow a car into the work shop that someone tried to do a home service but with no knowledge of cars, dropped the oil out..left the current old oil filter on.. then filled the oil till it overflowed from oil filler in the tappet cover, this was on a ford laser, then when they started it they couldnt work out why smoke was bellowing from the exhaust.)

Whoa lads.....slow down!

Washer fluid is too hectic for me. I mean, I don't wash my own windshields. I wait until some bum does it at an intersection. Then when he asks for money, I mount up and over the median strip, and chuck a you'eee.

As for petrol filling.. That's easy. Pull up to a servo. Place your hand on the horn until the attendant comes out. When he does, start acting like you have a disability. Ask in a slurred voice if he could fill it up for you. When he does.... nail it. In reverse. So you mount the attendant under your rear wheels.. speed hump styles... then you're on your merry way.

Re: what happened...

For those who want to know how to clean windscreens and refill wiper fluid bottle, I can write a DIY if there is enough interest but here are the steps.

1) Go to your local servo (only when they refill the squeegee bucket with clean water)
2) Clean windows using squeegee

If you find you are running low on water, have no fear.

1) Locate wiper jets on the bonnet. You will find two on the bonnet and they are black with 2 small holes in each. Refill your bottle via these two holes but do it slowly so you dont waste water.
2) If you have shaky hands, make sure you have a few business shirts handy so you can soak up excess water.
3) DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT overfill the water bottle as your ECU is tuned to handle a certain amount of spraying pressure. If you intend to overfill your water bottle, make sure you get it tuned and get some SAMCO hoses.

Would Neon lights help to determine the level of the washer bottle?

Yes, thats why i recommend the following

http://www.gbdriver.co.uk/acatalog/neons-7-col-washer.jpg

Benefits include:

1) Washer bottle level
2) Alerting other drivers you are behind them incase they dont see your lights
3) Most important of all, they can be tuned to change colour with your spinners

http://www.techeblog.com/files/dub_1.jpg

PM Kosti regarding any ECU tuning matters. He can safely increase your squirting pressure.
