Boomer, hate to tell you, no cruise in a B4:mad: (unless it's had A/M one fitted) If you're over 6ft. then don't expect a real comfortable long distance drive either, especially without cruise. I can't spend more than 3 hours at the wheel without cramping up and I have to stop and stretch my legs, it's such a pain. The seat doesn't go back far enough for me:angry2: I drove mine to Canberra and back from Melb last year and got 610-620k's out of a tank, so 3.5 tanks will see you there easily IMO |

Congratz on the purchase mate. Car should easily run 10lts/100kms on the highway imo. Of course, thats 'normal' highway driving. Considering its ur new ride in the B4, i'm confident there will be alot of pedal to the medal along the way. :victory: Got anyone to help with the drive? Or you whoring the drive to get acquainted with the new ride?

I got cruise.. stoked. And I'm nearly 6'3 and I tilt the seat upwards (like bucket) and sit back.. I find I can't reach from all the way back (no memory! ) and the position is comfortable for hours.. (QLD-SYD)..

Lucky b@stard! Are they an optional extra brand new or is that an aftermarket CC?

You are lucky.....maybe the stealer had an a/m company come in and fit pre-delivery. IIRC, the factory CC control unit mounts where one of the turbo's is (or very close, causing a heat problem, hence no factory CC) I have toyed with the idea of getting it, but as this is our 2nd car and just a runabout for me to and from work, can't really see the point. Our family car has the cruise for trips away, the B4 is just too small for us as a family car. Will be taking that to QLD in Aug, cruise all the way....haha... Matty |

by Boomer on 19-06-07 04:37 PM well on the sales thing it says it has cruise control so we will see when i get there, as for the height thing I am 6'1 BUT i currently own a swift so it will be a step up in leg room.

hehehe if you can fit in a swift, the B4 would be no probs! I presume the car is stock so i would say you should get 600kms/tank comfortably, or at least 550.

by theprotest on 19-06-07 07:55 PM I have cruise - It's awesome on the flat, crap through hills. It is similar to that from the Forester, which was factory, but not great quality. |

Search "octane booster"? Eats pistons? |

If you plan your trip/stops where there is a major Shell/BP, you wouldn't need an Octane Booster. Had to do that with me bro's rex when we drove to Qld. |
