Very SPECIAL liberty in the worxs

  Top of Page

Hi All!

Picking up a 07 Liberty TB STI in Sydney tmr, hope its better than the B4 I had a couple of years back cause I thought it was awesome even in stock form! and I've booked in a few goodies to get installed, preview of what's to come....(should be finished by the end of next week!)

- AVO 450LGT Turbo
- AVO FMIC
- Forged Pistons
- 650cc injectors
- Dump pipe (similar to HKS style)
- Exeedy Clutch
- Walbro Fuel pump
- Turbo Intake hose
- Haltech interceptor
- 2 Din adapter for centre console (think of the cubby area)
- Clock relocator
- Pioneer AVIC HD3
- Digital TV tuner
- Sound deadening in doors and rear shelf

I think that'll be enuf for the time being, BIG SHOUT OUT to Alan from NEXTMOD,
would've been hard to pull this together in such a short time by myself.

I'll be posting walk thorugh of as much of the mods as I can! Look forward to some pics! :yes2:

Re: Very SPECIAL liberty in the worxs

update, hit 250kw at wheels on pulse racing dyno. drove the thing and its one crazy mother now. not much lag from that AVO450L turbo, complements the 2.5L nicely.

Noir will update with more details later.

Re: Very SPECIAL liberty in the worxs

Hi all, apologies for the absence, I've been trying to sort out some problems that have bugged me since the dyno in Canberra, during one of the runs, the piping that measures boost popped off and apparently it took another vaccum hose with it! This meant that the drive back from Canberra to Melbourne I had no cruise control and I couldn't switch to any of the more powerful modes and also causing my engine to run lean...
So when I have a bit more time I'll post some of my thoughts, but paul's been really helpful, even to the point that if his contacts here in Melbourne can fix it, he'll fly down himself to do the work!
I'll be getting my car dyno'd yet again here in melbourne at the horse-power factory not that I'm chasing numbers I'm just curious to see the differences between different dynos, but I'm still happy with level of performance on my butt dyno!  lol

crap that's no good as running lean is bad news, though it gives you an excuse to upgrade engine !! Hope you get that sorted and then can give us some more detailed info mods performed and results achieved. There are so few MY07 owners with snail  and cooler mods but plenty of owners who are heading down that path. I am tuning with Ecutek in two weeks and then assessing car and what mods do. Go hard or go home.
cheers Dave
