Very isolated and need help

  Top of Page

I live on Norfolk Island which is a tiny island between Australia and New Zealand, I am a HUGE Legacy fan as I have had 3, The first a 1993 first generation (BF) RS,
secondly a 1992 VZ Type R for the wife and kids, and now a 5 spd 1999 GTB for me (and family). In moving to Norfolk I have brought the GTB and VZ with me which has been great, until I got a little carried away one night and red lined the GTB. It has got some serious problems now and I will have to pull the engine out and find out what has happened. What technical support is out there in the for of books etc. I will be doing most of this by myself as there is nobody here who knows anything about them!!!!!!! Has anyone got some ideas.

Do they have the right RON fuels on Norfolk for turbo cars? Or do you use octane boost?
Only asking because I know its fairly remote and they may not have the need for 98+ fuels.

I was driving angry and very fast in my 99 GTB, I didn't look at my tacho for corner was coming up fast, I still had my foot to the floor then felt the boost drop so looked down to see I was redlining. Once I slowed down I heard a loud knocking from the engine almost like valve was bashing piston on every stroke, it also has a seriously deep and loud howl as the primary turbo starts up that just gets louder as revs increase. The car is only just drivable but sounds like it will die at any moment. I have just started stripping the unnecessary stuff from the engine bay but will need to get serious  and take engine out soon. I need info and step by step instructions as I will be doing most of this myself, what good literature is out there??? If someone could point me in the right direction it would be most helpful. Thanks.
