Went in one day to do some banking the teller did the spiel about their car insurance & how cheap it is etc. got a quote they wanted something like $6k pa to insure my gen2.

Total crap!

better than my $9000 quote to insure my WRX at the bendigo bank. then they realised it was a turbo and said sorry we wont cover you... what, they actually thought i'd consider it?

i think i'll happily stick with the $684 i pay for TPP(F&T) through AAMI




also:

wtf is the go with green slips being like $615... rego is now probably going to cost me over $900

Fcuk that for a joke. thats more than twice what ive ever been estimated at and im a male under 18. the most ive gotten charged its 2500 on a quote to insure it for 13k. just quietly i cant wait till im 25+ but then ill also be aging sad
