twin turbo newbie

  Top of Page

Just a quick intro from a new member based in the UK.

Recently bought a low mileage import '96 twin turbo gt estate (sportwagon?), which can be had for peanuts in the UK as nobody knows what these things are, including me up until I got one!

It's got a few issue's, such as a bent hub and disc on the rh front, and oil in the back box pipe, which I think is down to an oil seal in the primary turbo, so I am swapping the turbo for one from a earlier model, hope it works!

The plan is to get it up and running properly as standard, and then look at sensible mods, with driveabilty the main issue, ie minimise the VOD as far as possible.
I had honestly not heard of this thing until I bought one, so I am on a steep learning curve, but the great thing about it is that in the UK at least, it is so anonymous, it's a street sleeper as standard!

Cheers fella's,

Welcome, yeah I couldn't believe how cheap these things were in the UK, eBay has heaps of them.
Post some pics too.
