Trade Price?

What do you have to do to get Subaru to sell you parts at trade price rather then the inflated retail price.

It would be good to save a few dollars on parts smile

Get some fake busines cards made up with a pic of your subi as part of it, they then think it's your work car when you flash it, mine was real but it worked at Coventries, & most other places.

Other than D-Gen's idea, is anyone here able to source parts and panels at trade price at Subaru or elsewhere?
I'm not interested in anything our vendor's have(eg: performance parts), but more along the lines of panels and original gear.

I find that when I want trade prices on Subaru genuine items they will ask for the business name and sometimes the ABN to prove that your a business.
Some stuff doesn't come down as much as expected but.....especially when compared to how much discount you can get a repco etc.....but its better then nothing.

There's a first year apprentice mechanic from Zupp's Subaru Mt. Gravatt who posted a thread on RSLC saying he'd try to get people trade price. I'll let you look for it though Frankie...

PS. You weren't stalking me when my car got broken into by any chance? Or was it you :nono: Haha jokes.

I work in a parts department mate and we never give retail customers trade prices. (cos their not in the trade). And i'm afraid that if your talking about parts from a big company (eg.subaru), they won't go broke if they lose your sale, therefore will not usually negotiate and in some cases thay know that you have no choice but to buy their parts.

Not me Nick. I hope you didn't lose anything of value and the car is OK.
Funny, when your car is parked in front of your girl's place, I can see your cars roof and my wife always asks what I'm laughing at.wink
T^hanks for the RSLC tip.

I work for Holden and get trade pretty much everywhere, even on spares from Ford, Mazda, etc. Subaru Docklands gives me 10% off and thats it. I try to stear clear of buying anything from there unless i really have too.

Hi Guys,
All I'd say is establish a good relationship with the guys in the part department at Subaru.  I go to Jarvis Subaru here in Adelaide a heap and get Trade on everything.  That said, a couple of the guys in the parts dept are also forum members on RSLC (and maybe here).

Cheers
Darryl
