Toyota Caldina

I'm in Kuala Lumpur at the moment and spotted two of these today:

Its a Toyota Caldina GT-Four - nope I'd never heard of one either..

Its basically a big brother to the good ol' Celica GT-Fours.

It packs a 3S-GTE 2L DOCH 16v Turbo.  Pumps out 191kW and 323Nm.  Pretty bloody impressive. Oh, and its 4WD!

I reckon its looks hot and would go bloody hard.  Available in wagon only (FTW!)

Anyone seen one of these on the streets?? I read that they are importable for between 20-30k and there are even some for sale over here.

Maybe time to trade in the Lib :Derisive:

The new model looks tough!

I have only seen the older models (made around ~97/98) and they looked great! Never seen one in Aus though, only in NZ.

And that new scoop looks soooo much like a Gen2/3 scoop. Lol.

Legacy > Caldina.

Good luck finding parts if you ever needed them. Toyota will laugh at you.

Not just engine parts, but mechanically specific parts, panels, etc etc.

Its hard enough as it is with a Legacy, even though they share many parts with the WRX and Liberty, it still has many Legacy specific parts.
