THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE GAME TO GET MONEY! MUST READ.


Credits are the lifeblood of this game, equate them to effort in real life, if it takes effort in real life it takes credits in Topshift. You want to be careful how you use them. There are 2 main ways to make cash in Topshift, the first is working, the second is sponsors. Working is AWFUL, you get about $400/100 credits that you work. To put it in perspective it is relatively easy to get your sponsors to pay you $5000/10 credits and you can get much higher if you want to.
RnR – Respect and Reputation. This is what determines your ability to get and upgrade your sponsors. As far as I know it has no other use in the game. You gain RnR by winning races and installing useless stuff on your car like window tint and boom systems. Generally winning anywhere from 5-20 races will raise your RnR in the beginning. Your goal should be somewhere between 15-20% although you can easily get the lower sponsors at 3%.
So get a car, win a few races, get some RnR, now what? Now you sponsor a bit. Once you have better than 3% RnR (the higher the better) go to the sponsors page and choose a sponsor out of the drop down list. USE ONLY 5 CREDITS PER REQUEST!!!! I cannot stress this enough, if you don’t get the sponsor the first time try again. Don’t up the credits, if you don’t get them in 3 or 4 tries wait till your RnR goes up. Start with the audio sponsors these are the ones you’ll get at a low RnR. Once you have the audios go and buy as many press kits as you can. Work 50 credits if you HAVE to. Buy the press kits in multiples of 10 since this is the least you can distribute at a time. Give out the press kits 10 at a time, again like sponsoring use the minimum only. If you get refused more often that your sponsors upgrade, again wait for more RnR. When all your press kits are gone, go to your main garage and request 10 credits (NOT work!!) and give out more press kits. Do this until you start being refused upgrades, then get more sponsors. The order of ease of acquisition for the sponsors is:
Audio
Magazines
NOS
Tires
North American performance companies (Hurst, Edelbrock, etc.

yep. get your RnR up. once its up around 10% go to the sponser page, then get the menu where the sponsers are listed then go to the bottom and start up use 5 credits to try gain sponsership...

yea mod it.. just a hint if you go to challange someone go to the online list, then see if they are on test n tune... click on their profile and it tells you what time they are running.. that way you can see if you are quicker and challange!
