I think it is a bit sad, but it would be sadder to see him canned like black stig... This wasn't exactly his fault, and was bound to happen sooner or later with the sheer size the shows reach has achieved.

I liked the stig who drove the beefed up truck. Man had he been working hard to keep the beelly rocking.

The stig is still the stig unless Top Gear UK offer me the job then he can be canned.

I'd would'nt be surprised if it's not him.  There's no really credible source. The fact that part of it is based on a youtube video of someone speaking with their helmet on, to me means they still don't know.  Until the driver himself admits it, i still dought that it's really him.
It's multiple drivers IMO, why limit themselves by having just one stig? Why not just use richard if it's only a shot of stig in the car?
