Hey guys, I've just decided to post some pics up to show you how my journey of slowly going through subarus from a bog std lx awd fwd gen 2 wagon all the way up to my present gen 3 B4 with my05 turbo ej257 goodness.

This is the car the very day i bought, its my 1st ever car as well. It's a 1997 subaru liberty lx gen 2 wagon, it had 177,000 k's on clock and running everything stock.. Hubcats yes i know.. oh dear your prolly saying. and yes its an auto.. oh deary me. lol i bought the car for $8,500. and has been running great even to this day.

The first thing i did was buy 4 old rims from naif, still waiting for the other 2 centre caps!! bastard lol. nah naif is a trusted seller. picked the rims up for 50 dollars all up. i think it was a great price for such an improvement.

Re: Timeline For Buddy Love!

sold the lx wagon to my folks a couple years back.

http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l149/buddylove_04/Wagslowered.jpg

ended up just putting some bilstein 16" rims on it, 35% tint, front strut brace....

Purchased a 2002 RX Manual Sedan about 1 and a half years after I bought the wagon.

Suspension mods turned this car into a bloody sticky car to practice with at morgan park raceway. certainly suprised a couple of the turbo boys.

Some of you guys will most likely recognise the car as fatcats B4. Finally driving a car that isnt N/A..

Lucky number three...

plans are to swap over all the suspension mods/rims from the gen 3 rx very shortly.

and further down the track

who knows

After testing a couple b4s, the 2.5 litre single turbo is on a completely different level. Loving every second..

Ive had my edfc controller sitting on the bedroom floor for over 4 months.. i should really get it put on when the teins are put back on..

Nice progression. big_smile

Front bar on that B4 looks a little too bulky for my liking. Are there any fogs behind the covers?

Hai Rhys.
That front bar still needs a 5cm carbon lip placed around the bottom. That should bring the proportions in line nicely.
Plenty of room for big FMIC without cutting front bars up.

A real shame Frank let this one go, but a good thing that Rhys was the lucky person to now take ownership of it. Well done matey, see you at the strip.....

Rhys, I hope you have enough spare cashola for the pads and 4 pot conversion as well as the ALK, Tein's, EDFC and others.
After that you will have a pretty complete package.
The APS SS42 can be changed to an SS45 by just changing the rear housing on the turbo. $500. And I believe mattims cracked 270 ATW with a very similar setup, albeit with a FMIC and CAI and few other minor mods.
