The time is getting near

  Top of Page

Hi.

I'm getting closer and closer to buying a Liberty, I think.  One of the guys had a 2005 3.0 spec B and although I won't be buying on of them, it was that car which made me stop and consider the Liberty at all.  Prior to that, I still though of the old Brumby (I think that's what it was called) when I thought of Subaru.

I'm now leaning towards a 2.5i sedan.  All I need to do is decide on colour and any options I'd like.

Anyway, I just thought I'd post to say hello.

I haven't really decided.  I haven't even decided how much I want to spend.  Part of me would like a 3.0 litre spec B, but even the 2.0 is attractive at the cheaper end of the scale even compared to vehicles a few thousand cheaper.  I keep changing my mind.  :-)

Mate you should definitely go for the H6 if you can! The 2L is ok if you want to drive around at 5,000 rpm all day long to get some power, and the 2.5 is quite good, but could just use a little more urge when you need it...

If it was me, I'd do everything in my power to get in to a 3.0R-b :victory:
Or a bilstein spec GT... but thats a few extra dollars :Dntknw:

It may be considered sacreligious to say this here, but....  :-)

The comparison I was making with the 2.0 litre model was a basic price comparison to something like the Toyota Camry.  I haven't driven one of the new model Camry's, but based on the previous model, for around the same price, I'd rather have a Liberty 2.0 than a Camry

Not necessarily.  I may be looking at a lease option, so it would have to be 6 years old or less at the end of the lease.

Did you have a suggestion?

Only that there've been some amazing cars with the Liberty badge recently..  to be honest, I was looking mid last year (before the GT-Sp. B came out) and I went for MY03 B4 over MY04-7 GT because of the Gen3 styling vs. the vast difference in money..  but the 3.0 models were hot even last year..  I almost went blitzen instead of turbo..  if I had to choose again it'd be GT Spec B..

Anyway I LOVE my b4..  and I still think GENIV looks are too plain, too toyota..

Anyway, enjoy the site.
