The Forza 2 Challenge

Ok so with all the GT4 discussion going on, I thought lets have a Forza 2 hot lap comp.

Step 1: Buy the Legacy GT.
Step 2: Upgrade to your liking (I just upgraded everything... I'm sure most others will too big_smile)
Step 3: Tune to the best of your knowledge
Step 4: Set the best lap you can on the Nurburgring and post it up!

Feel free to post up lap times from other tracks too, but the ring really is the best test of skill and is seriously demanding on your tuning abilities too!

Also please post up the driving aids/difficulty big_smile

no enough cash on GT4 to do that nor do i have the time....i rather spend it doing something productive to make my liberty go better

Go to special conditions and do the 2nd race, its some rally.

Win those 2 races (same track, 2 laps, just one is normal one is reverse of the track) and you win 5,000 CR each race, plus at the end you win a 260,000 CR rally car, sell it and repeat = KA-CHINGGGG.

Now if that was a sedan, it would have done  it SUB 8 minutes....

Hmmmmm,  I do enjoy a bit of a play on GT every now and then.

Ok well I'll kick it off. After two laps, I managed a 7:59.528. That's only my second time around the ring though, so I'm sure I can manage a better time when I'm not falling asleep lol

Driving line set to braking only, no ABS, no TCS, no STM, manual shifts.

Funny you should say that, mine WAS a sedan and it did do sub 8 big_smile

GT guys feel free to jump in with any randomly selected Legacy! I'm sure the tracks almost exactly the same.

Sounds good :-) Once I'm back up and running with my lib I'll swing by one time and bring my memory card and controller hehe :-)

I am just waiting for this place in Sydney to re-open after the break to get my ps2 mod chipped as well, then I can finally try NFS prostreet.

XoN - you aware of any differences in the 'ring between GT4 and Forza? I might do some research would be interesting to see if the track in forza is as true to real life as the GT4 track is.

I might go turn my PS2 on :-)

First lap ever of the course 8:20.061 :unsure:  spent a good 25seconds off the course lol, kept pausing to talk on msn which wasn't a good idea haha

I just did 7:40.311. No traction control. No assisted understeer / oversteer. No assists. No recommend lines. Just pure hardcore Legacy thrashing!

GT-B hits 280km/h along the back straight in 5th gear, bumping and skipping all over the place.

Just got a 7:34.497

Bout to go through a bit more money in to it for one last lap attempt. I will report back on my findings shortly.

Just got 7:24.273.

It's amazing what a 6 sp will do, plus a 45,000 CR set of tyres and a 2 way LSD smile

I could probably wind out my gear ratio's a bit and get that speed. Mine's a 4.44 box too :-)
