Survey - What do you want?

  Top of Page

If you were to be given something for your car, What would it be?
Cosmetic or Mechanical?

Pick a Genre, and the post specific items in your own post.

Why you ask? Ozliberty going to be giving out Xmas presents this year?! big_smile

Hmmm... depends really...

If by cosmetic/mechanical you mean neon lights for under the car or autotechnica cannon then no thanks...

but if you mean sti front lip or sti strut brace then yes... wink big_smile

I guess probably mechanical over cosmetic...

But if you are looking at giving free stuff then a lovely Ozliberty sticker (not too big) would be fine.

Aaaah......like shall we say a nice set of brake calipers, or a lovely stainless steel engine bay or exhaust.

Or perhaps a big massive T-wing to help with down force, like on the stock standard hyundai excel with hubcaps that lives round the corner from me lol

Hi, my names Mark and im ghey. lol

I like my cars to look good, but am very particular about what goes on it, I also keep my cars mechanically A1.

I like both, but that question has too many variables.

Specifics?

Hi,

I would like 24"'s and the necessary suspension/panel work to fit them.

Cheers,

Hi,

Haha, I am thinking of attaching large spikes at the front, and integrating a BBQ into the rear...

Cheers,

Depends. For example:
Falken RT-615 function over form, it's about performance.
Falken FK-452 poser tyre, aggressive looking tread pattern for supermarket carpark cred only.

That being said. Also depends on HOW you use it. If you are buying 615's to drive it slow in carparks and not to give you an edge at speed and corners then that too makes you a poser. Like people i know who do all sorts of visible mods to cars but will never use the car in a way that calls for those mods. Waste of money there if you ask me.

There isn't just the two types of mod - mechanical/cosmetic as Aero COULD be cosmetic AND mechanical. I think it comes down more to WHY someone is getting the mod. Like dumping Brembo's on a standard GT because "I Need biggest brakez and Da Fulli SIK broz told me demz de best" when the extent of their stopping will be from 60-0 at the lights tongue

Well normally I would certainly say Mechanical, but this time im going with cosmetic, and only to fix a few things..... respray the front end back to looking all nice and not chipped by stones FTW!!
I would rather a nice sports exhaust over most cosmetics but big_smile

Compared to mine, you have a pretty car.

You, therefore, will be able to move houses very quickly (as your sh*t is already packed).

RT615s = poser-tyre. They're normally bought by brain-damaged pole-smokers who think they're buying teh most oorrrrsummm semi-slick in the world and then will write unending amounts of drivel about it, purporting to know all the in-depth aspects of the technology behind their construction and operation without actually having a damn clue... about anything!!!1oneiwanttosuckoffjeremyclarkson

Voted cosmetic. Car needs respray Japan's snowy climate took its toll, that and all the inconsiderate people in carparks that don't know how to open a door properly.
