Seats retrim.

  Top of Page

Hey. I'm thinking of retrimming my seats in leather/vinyl. My brother is a motor trimmer and can do them pretty cheap, but I'm kinda iffy when choosing the colour. What do you think would be an awesome colour?

Black?
Charcoal?
Dark Grey?
Maroon?

I saw a sample of the charcoal tonight, which is based on the leather from the BA Falcon. It's sort of got a "matt" finish, as opposed to regular shiny vinyl, and I'm also wondering if perforated inserts would look nice. I'm sure they would.

Last retrim in the Corolla only set me back $300.

Waddayas reckon?

BLACK...

i wish i had black, instead of this putrid mix of "purple" and Greyish black.. it looks like mud.

Weezer,

I'm looking at doing my car as well ... Would your brother do two cars? smile

I'd go charcoal, as our cars have the black on grey interior, rather than the all black ...

Cheers,
David

i guess he could. i dunno what he'd charge you though. i'm sure he could do a mates rates kinda thing, so not too dear. plus once he has one seat template it's all easy, and buying the material in bulk would make it cheaper me thinks. i'd have to ask him.

but yeah, i'm leaning more towards the matt charcoal as it's not as shiny as regular vinyl.

Sometimes we just need to remember what the rules of life really are:
You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape
If it doesn't move and should, use WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use Duct Tape.

Well, I'm down for it ... smile

I'd retrim the doors as well to the same colour as the seats ...

Let me know if he can ... smile

Hey, mine has been at my friends place now for a week, shld b mostly done by end of next week.  He works at Precise trimming here on Gold Coast but does stuff on the side for friends.  I chose a yellowish/tan colour and having all leather seats with B4 embroided into them with suede dash, pillars, doors, roof etc.  Will post pics.

i love the black/orange from that 2003 blitzen B4.
