sadly the real identity of the stig has been uncovered.

for those not in the know, some say he wipes his a$$ with chainmail and sandpaper... all i know is that he is the stig.

The original 'stig' was an ex-Formula 1 and GT driver called Perry Macarthy - actually met him when I went to LeMans in 2006. Very funny guy - certainly tells a great story!

But they do have a few 'stigs' - other drivers rumoured to be 'the stig' include Nicolas Minassian and Ben Collins among others.

But I'm not sure who the 'stig' was in this weeks show when they went to Africa... maybe Desmond Tutu? smile

Why's it so sad? Does the Stigs identity really matter?
If its multiple people they all do a pretty good job of keeping the same line consistently between episodes...
