There is also screens on the wheels, where the centre caps should be

I saw this at auto salon Melbourne and spent about an hour starring at it, there are parts l like however most i dont. It definitely is a show car however im someone who prefers practicality with a little bit of show.

Alot of time and effort has been put into this car so definitely credit where due, its certainly a stand out.

I certainly don't hate this car....however i can't say it appeals to me, but as always each to their own

yea tvs in wheels are dumb we moulded them into the centrecap but al for an award they r removable for street use. tvs in engine bay i had been given screens for nuffin and had 2 plain strut towers so thought why not they work and have no effects from heat.
car is a show car but yes it gets driven aswell

Love the set up for the custom rear seating, awesome. Your friend appears to have a bit of talent in the painting arena.

wow.....
is that a `94 wrx/ rs lib engine in a gen 3?

atleast its turbo now i guess....

rear seats are good.

reminds me of osmans cars.

needs more tiger

so let me get this right? your building a car to impress autosalon judges? why not build a car for yourself? i bet it gets heaps of looks at kk livvo?
tvs in the wheels, thats a new autosalon low, you should go work on pimp my ride

you can never have enough down lights and tv screens

thats what sucks about autosalon, it is all just a numbers game, cars are built to a spec and judged from a sheet.....

what ever happened to building cars to be innovative and different? not mainstream and to win a nice glass trophy.

ill admit i like showing my car as much as anyone else, but i built it for me, not some over paid pen pushing autosalon guest judge

just out of interest steve, how much work have you put into it yourself?

Cant say im a fan of the car. Even so I can appreciated the time and money that went into building the car.  I think these cars are only really good for showing off what can be done...Like racing cars things start there then flow down to the street (if that make sense).

What sort of engine hardware are you running.  Cant really see from the pics but it looks like a sizeable huffer.

BTW it doesnt matter how much work you yourself have done to the car, the money still has to come from somewhere.  Everybody has there own jobs not everyone can be genius car builders.

Re: RYTONQ Again rebuilt

alot of the work i had a hand in paint stripping rubbing back stripping car fitting car.
every1 who worked on the car was a close friend of mine.

stereo was for free as its sponsor car thats why there is so many screens to promote the business.
downlights were not to win awards but to highlight certain aspects of the car.

motor has full rebuild and pushing 250kw on a safe tune and 300kw with extra boost i dont want to stretch power as i dont want to start worrying about blowing motor or anything.
money only cost me $20k to do everything. tvs in wheels not something i wanted but again never been done and since i did few more have followed again it was to show off the small screens the sponsor sells.

like i mentioned people were not going to like it and i knew this. but why people get so aggressive and rude about how they dont like it beats me.
i wanted best trim and i got that anything else i didnt care about, wheels i painted and airbrushed to suit the flow of the car.
its not a show pony atm im unlicenced so its not driven but come summer time it will be driven to and from work when the suns out. i dont build cars to collect dust

i have a fair idea, its comments like this that get a response

if you put up negativity it just asks for people to get narky, then you wonder why we say things?
you said you looked forward to it, then got your back up when we commented?

if your really pushing 300kw(im not arguing this either) you must have had the whole engine apart, so why not go for later heads with avcs and a more modern inlet manifold? the rs manifold, while good is over 20 years old in design and there have been vast improvements made in manifolds over the years.

i appreciate the amount of effort in show cars i really do, i helped Sean put HVDFLU back together more than once,
but i have no respect for the auto salon system.

the winning cars should be up to the judges interpretation, not a sheet where boxes get ticked and the biggest shopping list wins,

anyway, thats just my 2c.

Liberty is Goonee!!

MY04 WRX in the hands!! adjustable tein SuperStreet coilovers|3 inch turbo back exhaust| ARC intake and filter| STI front bar with carbon fibre lip|Carbon Fibre Vortex Generator!!! many more mods to come...........

Re: RYTONQ Again rebuilt

To everyone that doesn't like it, get over it. Its a show car built as a show car. Good to see someone has another Liberty in these shows. Sure, most of them are as useless as tits on a bull, however, its not everyday people get to see a Liberty in one of these shows.

Good work mate. I can see alot of time and effort has gone in to your car. I think in all honesty, the only thing that looks bad in my opinion is the front bar. You've done plenty with the paint work but the body work needs some attention.

Re: RYTONQ Again rebuilt

It's certainly not my cup of tea either, but the level of commitment required to build a car like this is obvious. Anyone who has done even fairly basic mods to their car should be able to appreciate the time, money, heartache and skill involved in building this.

Respect to you mate, it's not how I'd personally build a car but if we all did things exactly the same way things would get very boring very quickly, wouldn't they!

I love it!

heaps of mods, a like the paint, the wheels look good too.

My only complaint is.... the front bar! Why stay wit the boring GX bar?
There are so many/better body kits for the Gen 3 libs!
Import a body kit and add that PLEASE LOL.
