Hi and Welcome to Ozliberty

I agree with Dale, 2 1/4 inch is the way to go.

MRT can stick it.. go down to your local exhaust shop and say you can a 2.25" system and pick a muffler you like..

Hey Joel, thought i'd voice my opinion on your enquiry! We have a cat back 2 and a half inch sports exhaust with a cannon and sounds pretty sweet. We had a hotdog on it not to long ago but was a little too loud, i didnt mind it but thought it may draw too much attention. I think dump pipes are also an option for sound and performance (well what i've been told anyway, i dont know too much about them).
Anyway Good luck with it all, either way, i dont think you'll be disapointed:)

isnt a hotdog another name for a resonator? or am i missing some terminology here? wouldnt a resonator make the exhaust quieter?

lol, yeah i do not know too much and my partner informed me last night exactly what you said:blush2: ! He must have put one on the car instead of taking it off. He also said the thing he took off was one of the cats, and thats what made it louder, but i think that its illegal (its back on the car now) so i hope i have it right this time, (lol), sorry for the misinterpretation :suicide2:

yeup that makes much more sense.. decatting the exhaust would make it louder and a resonator would make it quieter smile im pretty sure in Aus that decatting is illegal..
