by EVILRS on 27-03-07 09:34 PM Its not as bad as some might think, if I was paying someone to do all the work I might have given up by now but I want to prove that you don't have to convert to single turbo to get lots of power. |

by EVILRS on 28-03-07 07:47 PM I changed my primary turbo exhaust housing to a vf13 which has an a/r 16 and my secondary exhaust housing to a vf19 a/r 18, my vf 27 secondary had an a/r of 18 also but the vf19 runs a larger turbine wheel so the housing is bigger. The easiest way to tell the difference between the housings is to measure the width of the scroll at its highest point. These were the largest housings I had spare. You can only swap the housings within the twin turbo vf range but i don't think you can go smaller in housing sizes only larger. |

by EVILRS on 28-03-07 09:15 PM I haven't had my car on the track or dyno yet but once its run in I will be interested to know what it can do. The turbos don't seem to run out off flow top end to my suprise and the car pulls all the way to redline in 5th gear without slowing down. |

by EVILRS on 30-03-07 12:40 PM The exhaust housings are easy to swap over its just taking the turbos off thats the difficult part. You might also need to get some gas on them to seperate the housing from the core but I just use an electric heat gun. I won't guess how much power im making yet i'd rather wait till its been on a dyno. It feels like the second turbo comes on boost around 3k rpm so im not keen to change the exhaust manifold yet, after a bit more development I will get my symms extractors ceramic coated and heat wrapped and find a matching pair of exhaust housings to run them. |

by legacy rsk on 01-04-07 09:11 PM sounds like you need to see an experienced engine builder if you need to rebiuld it 3 times or you you have more money then cents.....just my opinion |

by EVILRS on 03-04-07 08:14 PM Its called r&d, nobody gets things right first time. My first engine cracked two pistons and on the second engine with later model pistons a valve broke while being run in and destroyed the engine. I know how to bulid engines and I can get parts cheaper than most people. It costs me alot of time not alot of money. |
