That is amazing, i wonder what the costs will be to build this skyscraper and to purchase one of the luxury rooms right up the top. must be in the 15 million dollar plus range at least. 2010 is so close as well!

they say its the fastest growing city at this present time.
it will def be worthwhile having a visit it a decade or so

Thats one of the things that is interesting about Dubai - they are trying to creat something out of nothing. Once the oil money has gone, what will there be? The only thing really going for it is its location. As a business destination, with its proximity between asia and Europe and tax free status of course makes it a plus - and tourism - however at the moment its okay for a stop over but not much to do for longer than a few days. Thats why I say in 10 years it may be better.

However, will it work?

No one really knows, but they sure aren't gonna die wondering...

it would definitely be one hell of a site to see. a couple of dozen dirty big trucks carrying bits of a building
then watching them put it all together
