Rolling Rear guards

  Top of Page

I have got 19" subaru offset rims on my 95 Wagon and its rubbing if the suspension is set lower. I spoke to a panel beater and he has informed me its pretty hard to roll the guards without cracking paint on subarus. Its got adjustable teins allround but I would prefer a lower stance. Anyone one had much luck rolling there guards or advice on other options?

so the rims are +55 then? what size rubber? rubbing inner or outer? How low do you want to go?

IMO 18's max on a Gen2.

size of the rim makes no diff. Im only running 17's. The guy is an absolute master. Trust him. He does very very nice work. Heats it up with a blow torch to stop the paint cracking. He's a pro.

Good evening,
Now my computer is prompting me to comment or question on a forum just because i haven't done it for a while, so...
How do we contact this Stu, give the bloke a plug, and how much? (I will check yellow pages tomorrow.)
My RS is rubbing in the rear end and it's chaffing my 18's, also my wifes wagon (yes i am talking about libertys) doesn't  appreciate speed humps or hitting a pothole at speed so i might get a discount for job lot, and pop out a few car park dents while we're at it.

On another topic, has any body tried to do fake carbon fiber paint effect theres a good  basic DIY   YouTube - how to airbrush CARBON FIBER!
I'm having a go at the moment on a few spare parts, quite effective, got the roll of non slip tray rubber from Red Dot, three $2 cans of paint (black gold and silver) and some clear or candy. (At least it gets me out of the house!)

I put the rubber over with the diamond holes left to right, spray black, move it a few millimeters diagonally up spray black again, take it off and re-position any where as long as still level (the little suckers just seem to line up, Doppler effect?), spray gold, same again, spray silver and finally take it off and turn it 90 degrees so diamonds running vertical spray black, last coat was candy red clear.
You don't have to wait for each coat to dry as not much paint actually makes it to the surface and ... don't forget to wear a mask!     :skull:

From his website!

http://dentcraft.com.au/contact.html

Just call the 1300 number. I originaly used his web form, but at the time he was too busy to stop and check it smile

I initially found him from google searching rolling guards in perth (or words to that effect) and he kept popping up with rave reviews

keep in mind that the paint on an RS is old. Old paint may crack, but he should be able to let you know

Paint wont be a worry, shes due for the all over treatment, i just want to put the bigger wheels back on so i can put the RS mags on the wagon to fit the bigger brakes  which are painted up and waiting in the shed, it needs the extra stopping power now with the turbo implant.
Any body know of reasonable priced paint supplier in Perth? Will be staying with Carmine Pearl but considering something over the top like a pearl or extra flake in the clear. Any Ideas or suggestions? Saw a car yesterday in  similar colour tone and it just looked like a bad milky clearcote' don't want that effect!
