Rental Nightmare

Trying to find a place for the past 3 months in brisbane. Have shown up to over a dozen house inspections, which have all been the first ones to apply at. Given everything they wanted, bank statements,wage slips, for proof of income even my room mates mum applied for a couple houses with us for her long rental (clean) history. We have proposed paying an extra 15 dollars a week on top of the weekly rent, mowing the lawns each week instead of the landlord paying someone else to do it. Closest we ever came to been accepted was 2nd choice for a house in Annerly. The first choice couple showed a  bank statement with 20k and paid an extra 4 weeks rent in advance so they got the house   :suicide2:


Damn this rental crisis... It sucks.

mate i really wish there was somehing i could do to help you, it sucks ass that you cant get anything, when i know how much effort you have put in to get them.

fingers crossed something works out soon for you mate..

Thanks kurt, frank said i can live with him hehehe. His missus sounds scary though     :girl_were  Its a bit of pain sometimes since one of my roomates has REM (random eye movement) so he cant qualify for a drivers license, so we are restricted to a house close to train station/bus stop.

You'll hate to hear this mate.

My GF has just been offered a 2 bedroom flat at Upper Mt. Gravatt for $180/week from her boss at work. Bargain much?

Sorry. But i guess there must be stuff out there if she could pick that up. Guess not from your experiences.

ahhh im jealous. That sounds like a great deal though, hope its a nice place.
