A long long time ago, about 4mths now, I stupidly took my car into MRT for a service. I was reversing the car back onto a parking spot on there site, was backing up slowly when I started to hear a scraping noise.

On the brakes looked at my side mirror and saw what looked like I wiped out my entire rear quarter.

I moved forward and jumped out of the car to find this pissy 1 foot concrete slap on the side...WTF!!! I yelled and slowly looking for guard damage I found that I was rubbing on the black mud guards.

Took a nice 45 deg cut off it. No body damage though :scare2:

Here is my rant >

About a week ago i was reversing my car into a undercover spot at my girlfriends place (she has a unit, so all the cars are parked horizontally to each other, and there are two cars that face  these horizontally parked cars at the end. )

So the spot i park in happens to be the one on the end where these two cars face, and for the 100th time i reverse in, like you would on habit, the same, day after day, and i hear a scccrrraaappppeeee (!) I get out to see that the nose of this old womans car is hanging in, half a meter into where i park!

The not so amusing part is her excuse: "I didn't want my car to get wet" (Its not a fricken towel!)

So now, i have a couple scrapes, about 45cm long that i need to get touched up. ( I was going to the the whole car looked over by the panel beater anyway, but thats not the point.)

The semi-good thing: She kinda felt bad, and didn't mention anything about me paying to get her car fixed..

So yeah.. what do you think?

was in box hill, turning onto whitehorse road (melb pple might know that stupid intersection whitehorse/station st etc) where theeres like lanes of traffic trying to turn etcetc

anyway im n the turning lane waiting for cars to go by, and suddnly theres a gap in the traffic, so i decide to go.

stupidly, this alfa in the lane next to me (which was supposed to go straight) turns accross my lane (as in overtakes on the outside), cutting me off

if i had gunned it, i woulda t-boned his ass.

as pissed off as i was (about 10sec worth of horn work), i shoulda tail gated him all the way down the road, but my gf made me turn off into a slip lane

fkn alfa, i shoulda got his car plate number

in my commo days,

was travelling behgind a truck that was carrying those rocks that they use as ballast on train tracks,

one came off the back of the semi and wnet straight through my windscreen on the freeway, the fact that the windscreens are saftey glass meant that the whole windscreen shattered making the next hour of my drive home with my head out the drivers side window.

when i went to replace it, the people wouldnt change it cause of the amount of rust around the window (common with VL's), so the window cost me $280.00 and the panel beater to re-weld the front of the car to legally put a windscreen back in set me back $850.00.

Got the trucks rego, but no-one wanted anything to do with it. oh and NRMA insurance can eat sh** and die.

yeah I'm also up for a new screen after it was replaced. I think the replacement screen is not as strong as the original regardless of what they guy tell mes.
I've driven cards for over 25+ yrs and I've never had a screen chipped or damaged until I've had this one replaced and 1 week later i got a chip. Not going to replace it though until i need too.

not much of a rant, but for some reason, when i've been extremely tight for cash, my headlight blows on the drive to work. and the only servo i find which sells them charges $17. for 1 globe. it's happened twice now, most recently last weekend.

got laughed at when i came home with a bottle of redline gearbox oil, seems like evryone thinks castrol is the shizzle. but then yesterday i saw the price of motul gearbox oil :clapping:  only the best for my car :heart:

Well my only rant for the rest of this year is those touch parker drivers (mothers in massive 4WD's) at shopping centers!  Now my rear end skirt is bent :angry2: you reckon they'd buy a subi if they wanted 4WD but no they feel safer in a bigger vehical that crushes others... grrrr! :angry2:
