and to answer your question, non factory colours always look wrong (in my opinion) unless you do a full bare body re-spray, just get them to re-spray it the factory colour and blend the paint along adjoining panels.

:offtopic: Tiffany what does godish mean, I have seen you write on more then one occasion so Im guessing it means something??
And on the colour go with whatever makes you happy, on a 1st Gen liberty IMO I would go for a black or yellow maybe even red..

How much are you thinking of spending on a respray, this will determine whether or not  it's viable or not to actually change colours etc.
