I know I'm being lazy, but if anyone can throw some quick tips tnhis way that would be great.
I'm just toying with the idea at the moment, obviously if I definately want to go this way for car2 I will be all over the rex forums like a bad rash.

I am hoping that if I buy one it will be  astock model. I definately don't want a droning loud wrx.

correct go the quality Jap spec like Trust, HKS etc and you wont suffer the drone Craig. It's more important that you check out the tranny, engine and snail on a used REX.

i've got a 3" TBE on my hatch and there is no drone at all. around town and on the freeway its so comfortable. my lib droned way more.

its an MRT system.

pros:
its a hatch
potential
getting cheaper
its a hatch
good on fuel if you drive properly (which i dont)
its not a sedan

cons:
costly to service (like most subarus anyway)

btw, mines a my99

con: production has been stopped due to known Big End Bearing issue.
