You mean the R35 GTR, they dropped the skyline badge from it
Sounds like you had a good day

by Aydin on 22-07-08 12:27 PM yes they were saying it was having tune problems prior to the event but had it sorted. the thing was quick around the track but could tell they weren't pushing it to its limits.. and people were saying that it still had its speed limiter so they couldnt push it past 180 kph.. |

by befour on 22-07-08 01:29 PM ahh damn, perhaps it wasnt mapped in as a designated track area for the vehicles sat nav system to dis-engage the speed limiter, because the speed limiter on them is controlled by GPS |

i imagine the whole "every engine is unique and hand made" would be difficult to work with too... |

by theprotest on 22-07-08 02:55 PM Hi, Pretty sure that only applies in Japan mate. The Haltech GTR ran an 11.1 a couple of months back also. First run at the strip, apparently. Must be insanely fast off the line to make an 11.1, at just 124mph... Cheers, Nik |

Hi Nik, yeah that was my point... this would have been a JDM model GTR so as far as it is concerned it is on public roads and will limit the speed.

by Aydin on 22-07-08 03:13 PM People were saying that Haltech were testing blow off valves on the day. the GTR was fitted with two and the thing sounded so hott.. |

Thanks Nik, that is good information. I'll have to find that Blog page. My tuner did mention something along those lines with respect to what the Haltec could control, and yes he said the traction control was off and that was what attributed to the 11.4 but terminal speed was the same. Still awesome in anyones language. |
