Poor Dyno Result

Well I finally got my bucket dyno'd and the thing was a heartbreaking let down, It got beaten by every single thing that was Turbo'd and even beaten by over 20Kw at the Wheels by an N/A XR6....... I was not impressed at all.
I happen to think My car might be a bit :crazy: and :lazy3:
a 123.7Kw result is just crazy but, I really thought it could pull a bit better then that.

hmm,

Manual or auto?
stock?

IF auto that output is about right due to them having less power from factory than the manual and more power is lost through the drive terrain.

I woulda thought that figure is about right for a manual?  Mines auto and stock it was pissing out 110kws.  Chipped/zhorst its up to 155kw or there abouts.

Just the wallet doesn't want too sad I can't afford to get the thing even tuned at the moment sad
To those who asked if its standard, It basically is, the only things I have done is the CIA, rebuilt engine with forgies and Silicon IC pipes from the turbo's.

Can you wind the boost up on the TT's the same as any other Liberty?

B4's have forged internals stock. Did you melt a piston, requiring a rebuild?

Yeah man, Ive momentarily ran 22 PSI on mine when the hose that goes to the Waste gate actuator thingy come off. I could tell the car wanted to get up and boogey bad.... but yeah the massive rate at which it pinged its face off stopped me from holding the right foot down a moment longer, and investigate what was going on.
I would love to use opensource, but looking at the Open ECU website its all a bit technical, I can't find anything that tells me exactly what I need and how to do it all.
I think I need to just kindnap someone experienced in the area tongue
and fat cat, yes I did melt a piston that made me require a rebuild. I have the dead piston sitting on my desk at work as a paper weight big_smile
They do have forged pistons as standard but they are not as strong as the aftermarket ones you get from J.E and all those mobs.
I am wondering if de-comping the engine to about 8.5 has done a lot to the peak power output ............

Bummer, but just add boost to make up for lower compression.

you havent done any performance modifications to the car so your result is spot on, you have a rebuild with forgies yet you havent upped the boost or anything?

I know its bad tongue LOL but I kinda don't have the cash to fork out on getting a good boost controller or get the ECU retuned. One day.

Was the XR6 stock? Just remember that XR motor is a 4 litre 6 cylinder.  And although you have a couple of turbos, the subi motor is much smaller. A rise in boost will make a huge difference, in stock form a car is no where near it's potential, so that it doesn't break.

I think the XR6 may have had an exhaust and possibly a tune, other then that I can not be sure.
There was a VN 5.0L N/A with a Group A twin throttle body manifold that pumped out about 250Kw and was still making power. big_smile

Thats because, on the 7th day, god created a V8 engine.

dude, power fig's are a bit low.. I got like 145kw's when my B4 was stock as a rock...

I think you should just buy my B4 Josh...
