Hi,

Am I missing something here? I'm guessing he doesn't have a 2000 Commodore?

Cheers,

Hi,

I'm no lawyer mate, but I'd say he's done. For all the effort/cost of seeking legal advice, may aswell just take the fine. How much would a fine for it be? Or is there demerits involved?

Is the summons for the loud music or something else? If it's for a separate crime, and he is worried this will reflect poorly in court, I wouldn't worry too much. They rarely mention traffic offences in court, they certainly can't use them against you unless your crime is directly linked to driving (ie: stealing a car).

Cheers,
Nik

I don't think this is a police problem.

I think this is a contraception problem.

If they haven't measured the volume and written it down, u can go the court and say that there is no evidence of this and that no legal measurement was taken indicating the sound level thus the cops have no real bias for a fine and this is a witch hunt.
I say u shoot him for driving a fleet car to begin with.
thanks mate! it just might work, il let him know:buba:

i'd thought an on the spot fine was the go for that, not a summons. the only way to go about it know is to see the duty lawyer of the day as soon as you get to court. get there before the court time to see him or your screwed. he'll know exactly wot your mates in for and what to do about it as he's probably seen it a hundred times over.

Sheesh.

Whatever happened to copping it on the chin?

FFS. Its for noise. Not manslaughter. Dirty little maggot probably deserved it.

Tell your bitchass mate to harden up.

Ive seen cops give fines for escessive noise from stereos in the city, but its a fine, not a summons. sure your mate wasnt doing something else as well?

Seriously though, if its just a few hundred dollars, just pay it and stop whinging really.

If he ended up with a summons, my guess is that he has a mouth on him, and it got him in trouble.
Would i be accurate in that assumption Spyda?

Haha,
lol

when will people learn you can shoot it into the sheets and still be safe.

Also im pretty sure they give you on the spot fine, unless like soop said he has a big mouth. At the end of the day there are a few of these guys who go around looking for defects or excuse to give some people fines but why give them the ammunition by shooting off your mouth?

you only shoot your mouth if your a 100% right and the police dont know the law them self's which a fair few of them dont.....but there are always ones that just have a an ego..but most are okay-ish when there is a legitimate issue with the car, and you are polite

Problem with shooting your mouth off at all is, they'll just ping you for what ever they can find, just to be a pain. They don't have to prove anything.

IMHO, its best just to keep to the "Yes sir, no sir" act.
