WELCOME TO THE CLUB FOR STARERS.Once you drive a B4 you wont even look at an 02 sti. the difference in power is only slight but with the tune is absoulutly a big difference. the one thing i chose my B4 for was the interior and the looks so diffent to the millions of wrxs around. If your interested in seeing/buying/test driving one i'm about to put mine up for sale. just pm me and ill give you my details.

they are 2 completely different car. the b4 is luxury sports sedan, the sti is a road race car. if you want big power and no creature comforts go the sti. if you start modding a b4 past an ecu reflash you looking at big bucks because of the twin turbo set up.

The Biggest question is...

What do you want out of the car?

As uncle cracka said comfort and enough performane to boot, go the B4. But if you want something raw and just asking to be drivin hard then go the STI,

the cheapest car to mod will be the STI by far. As there is so many off the shelf items available for them.

The STI has a better driveline as it hosts the 6 speed gearbox with matching diffs which is alot stronger than the B4

It all comes down to what you want to use the car for, a B4 can be built to compete with cars like the sti and Evo, But its just not an easier path.

welcome mate, i definitely agree with the rest of the posts here.. it totally depends what you want.. if you want a nice comfortable car that will give rice rockets and boy racers a fright then get the B4.. but the twins are more difficult to mod past the minimum things like exhaust etc.. IMHO id go with the B4 i think they are better looking and something a bit different..
