Well so far there is over 2k signatures in just 3 days,

And so many people are actually calling the dude who started the new law, They are now refusing to take calls anymore, so it looks like they are feeling the pressure

Sucks to be him but he deserves it. I cant beleive how ridiculous it is. There not even goin to allow 4wd enthusiests to raise there cars 100mm above standard height. They have no clue what they're doing. I just hope all goes sweet for us because im lookin at getting coilovers soon and ill be pissed as fudge if it doesnt.

I hope the law passes. I'm sick of seeing 4wds getting around with massive bullbars raised to eye level. I shudder to think what sort of damage that would do in an accident.
Sucks that a lot of people won't be able to lower their car as a result, but in reality there's plenty of cars getting around that are unnecessarily low anyway.

you can still lower the car 5cm...

that's 50mm... that's lower than even king superlows that drop the car by 35-40mm...

i'm not sure what all the complaining is about... if your car is lower than 5cm from standard, then your suspensions performance is compromised...

how many people here have fitted supporting mods when lowing their car, such as a bumpsteer kit...?

i daresay not many...

There will be 2 types of people affected by this - one, the people who think having their cars scraping on the ground is cool(and well, I think suffer. Its stupid to have a car that low), and those who play with 4WD's. I feel for them on this, however I do partly agree with XoN on this matter.
4 inches of lift is useful on occasion out there, but there are way too many people who drive these day in day out in the city. Risk out ways the performance of the parts here. If they want to lift it that much, change the springs when you want to go out, just the same as us who like to play on a track with coilovers - we adjust them before and after.
Granted, its a bit more work, but still...

50mm is heaps...I believe we in SA are limited to 30mm legally, so you've got it good.
My 2 cents...

Ben
