by eVolUTIoN_182 on 10-06-06 12:40 PM Mate I dont think they would becase look along the NSW beachers like Bondi (NOT SURE ON SPELLING) if they took pics that would be millions of $$$ each year on pointless photos. It wouldnt be worth the money. Its worth a shot. |

Digital pix cost virtually nothing to record and store... it's only printing them out (which would only be done if it was disputed and went to court) that would cost $$$ Dunno bout you guys down south, but I know that some, if not all, traffic cops up here carry digital recorders inside their uniform, and they record every convo when they pull someone up for whatever reason..... to use as evidence in court, should it escalate that far. Back 5-10 years ago, taking your own photos and back-dating them may have worked... but in this age of pocket sized digital cameras, fone-cams and legal litigation and stuff, it's probably best to bend over and take it and learn the lesson from it - as a lot of public officials probably WOULD take photographic evidence of all offences. Hell, we even get deliveries of steel roofing & guttering products from a supplier, and he takes digital pix of the materials he delivers, to prove he's delivered everything required, and nothing is damaged. Costs the company nothing, as it's all inbuilt into their company mobile fones anyway - and they just download the pix into their database Only way to get out of it would be IF you were there when the ticket was issued and you took your own photo evidence, with the ticket dude in the picture as well... mite just get you off if you can prove your measurement-by-sight is better than theirs. That is illegal - traffic restriction signs must be clearly visible to the driver, 2/[i]]. You cannot be expected to park your car, get out, look all around you, under the car (for those painted-on-road type symbols), up in trees or high up in the roofline of the building next to you, to get an indication of whether you can park there or not. If you can prove the signage was unrealistically positioned and that you could not have seen it clearly and distinctly from within the vehicle, then you should be able to get it overturned. I don't agree with parking in Disabled spaces... but I feel NO guilt when I leave a carpark and realise that I have parked in a disabled spot, because the disabled symbol was painted ON the ground, and has worn away so badly that it is not easily visible when first parking. They should be marked with a sign on a pole or against a wall, at a height of approx 1.5m, so that you cannot deny noticing it as you park there / End Rant
