OZ Liberty T-shirt?

  Top of Page

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this post but I was just wondering if there is currently a OZ Liberty T-shirt available.

If there isn't, I'd like to produce one and sell it through the shop. I can probably get it to a retail price of $30-$40, perhaps less. I'm not quite sure who I need to contact for this and who I can get permission from to sell it through the shop and also to print the logo as it may be protected.

Any feedback, such as wanting a t-shirt, info on t-shirts already produced or info about the appropriate people I need to speak to is really needed.

Thanks

Nick

Best bet is to PM one of the administrators...you can find them listed here.

Not a bad idea, to make economical though you'd need to limit the print colour and maybe the shirt colours (black and white). I screen print stuff for a hobby but doubt I could match production demands if it kicked off.

Definitely contact Rick about it but he's s**ttins busy with the upgrade of his sites. Something to consider down the track.

Pretty sure it [Ozliberty] is trademarked or copyrighted somewhere mate. For personal use maybe with permission but to sell them I reckon it would certainly piss the man off.  I am sure Rick cares about official.

I'll see if Rick and Nath are up for some more investigation. I have checked into similar before, can try and drag up the contact list I had. I know there was a company based in Perth that could do them at a resonable rate in large numbers.

I agree with kev i think it would be trademarked or copyrighted somewhere. Aparently they had some trouble with stickers at gtrydaz being produced and there were some not so happy campers. So id get permission first.

Yeh i've got contacts who run several different clothing labels, real  chic, trendy expensive boutique stuff, but cos they're close mates they said they'll see what they can do, but they need adequate numbers to make profiable, i'm not getting anything out of this. It's just i thought members would like a shirt to wear around and it'd look good at cruises and car conventions and what not. All I need is the info about the store and permission to print. Then I'll go about polling how many people will buy one to see if it's feasible.

The main design rite now is the logo over the left-breast, subaru logo on the sleeve, and a larger logo centred on the back. Colours would be black, and maybe white and charcoal. the logo would be orange 'OZ' and light grey 'Liberty'. Personalised features could follow such as custom logo colour and possibly a name underneath the front logo or a location such as 'OZ Liberty - Brisbane'.

I've sent FOZ13 a message, like i said i'll take on the entire operation, theres no obligation from administrators except buy a shirt.....lol. I'll get th label's designer to put together a preview and post it up when i ask for numbers soon.

'Edit: If Rick is cool with it then go for it Nick, might I add that anywhere above $25 for a basic print tee is getting up there though. Just food for thought'

yeh like i sed Kevlar, its early days and the labels are quality, i'll try my heart out to get it down to a better price, need to talk to the guys more though, sort out where they'll source the T's from and get some nice cheap but good quality ones. Ideally i'd like a price where every member can buy a T and be satisfied financially and quality wise. But considering the decal costs approx $25 including postage a $25 dollar T should be reasonable.

mainly because they were absolute crap and far removed from the Rydaz logo.

The main thing is the outlay, you can't buy 10 or even 20 shirts printed at a reasonable rate, to make it worthwhile you'd need to get a minimum of 50 or more done, in black + 1 colour and you'd have to be lucky to swing it so you got a mixed bag of sizes.

I'm happy to chase it up some more but although it appears I have no life being on the internet so much I am busy with work and family a fair bit. Don't expect it to be answered and organised tomorrow but I will start looking into it then.

Edit: If Rick is cool with it then go for it Nick, might I add that anywhere above $25 for a basic print tee is getting up there though. Just food for thought.

I was stupid enough to grab one against my beter judgement. It hd all flamey new age stuff - the original rydaz stickers were the bomb, loved it, mine just got a few wear marks and needed updating. Lesson learnt.

Yeh hit a few snags so right now not much is happening, hoping to get something sorted, but if anyone wants to go ahead with their own production I wish them well

I got one done a couple of years ago. Not the best quality/detail as I just used the old logo and photoshopped it a wee bit.
