I am not really one for introductions, but, here it is any.

I've been on this forum for about a year, just hiding in the background like I like to.

Not too much into big cash mods, as I am without cash. I just mostly like looking at what everyone else is doing with their cars, enjoying the quality workmanship, ingenuity, and laughing at stupidity that ensues from when someone asks the *wrong* question.

I have previously been a member of many m/c forums, including OCAUMC as well as a tiny forum for tiny cars, TAMON. I like forums
My previous babies include:

This bike went fast, some might say too fast - I have my full licence back, enough said.

My '83 Suzuki Hatch (800CC 3-Cylinder)

This was my first car, I bought it for rainy days so I didn't have to ride in the wet. I painted it in my back shed. This car could possibly be one of the best cars in the world, when it came time for me to replace the clutch, I unbolted the engine and just lifted it out myself by hand, how many Liberty owners can say that about their cars?? he he he

And my current distraction

This is when I first bought it. I've sine put some Subaru 8 spoke 14" rims on it. The rest of the mods are in my sig. P/shop mods include lowered, wheel rubber hacked, new background, and for some reason no shaving at all, even the aerial is still there and up! If anyone finds that front left hubcap, I have the three other ones downstairs if you want a matching set.

I am finally going to graduate at the end of this year, hopefully pick up a reasonable paying job, and buy my self a schmick car to enjoy while there is any oil left!

A delayed welcome to you then big_smile

Your Gen2 looks pretty clean.

When you update, still looking at a Liberty?

When the upgrade comes, I want an Outback and I'll get the missus an Impreza. I want something to go camping in, the Liberty is a little bit too low for some of my encounters so far. I'd have to say I'd like the latest body shape, GenIV. Something a little bit littler for the missus as we share my car atm, I think she's a little more comfortable in something smaller.

Not to say I don't like the Liberty. If I weren't going to be in the country, then I'd be all over another Liberty.

I figure if I don't have a bike, than I should have a car with all the mod cons so the comfort can make up for the massive loss in power, manoeuvrability and fun.

Hi,

The Outback is a great choice (bias? me? big_smile).

Glad you introduced yourself, cool little zook. I'm not big on bikes but the hatchback is sweet.

Cheers,
Nik

Eh heh heh, they are nifty little cars. With an 800cc engine, it  had a smaller displacement than my last motorcycle, the TL. I could get better fuel economy in the hatch thrashing it that I could on the bike just riding normally. The bike had EFI and the hatch a carburettor. Great car to learn home mechanics on, everything is accessible and light. I could lift up the corners of the car myself, and my only exercise I get is typing.
