NZ Legacy GTB owner here

  Top of Page

Hey there. I've known about this forum for a while but never had a reason to join until my mate told me there were pics of his car here with his 20" wheels. I didn't want his car to feel lonely so I thought I'd sign up here as well.
Name's Paul and I've had my Legacy for about 4 years. It's pretty modified, and it's only now getting the single turbo conversion work being done to it, after I blew a headgasket, and also i think the big end bearing. So it's getting a V3 STi engine with a VF22 blower bolted on. I'll post up pics if people would like, my mate Jase also has pics of his as well.
I don't have the 20's on my car any more, as I had some 18's which suit the custom paint scheme of the car better, and so I'm going to be selling the 20's shortly to recoup the $$ from them.
I liked having the 20's on the car, and having adjustable suspension means you can avoid the rubbing issues, but you do need very low profile tyres, we were both running 30 profiles. I had some rubbing issues with 35 profiles, but changed to 30's and it was sweet.
So yeah, here are some pics I've taken a couple months ago. Hope you don't mind the size :-)

$40 will also get you a bottle of vodka/Jagermeister/etc or a slab of beer*. A short-shifter will do dick-all on your cars except give you something else to put in your sig. You could also spend your money better by inserting the $40 up your own arse. You'd certainly get more out of it that way.

The roof racks were easy as to remove... removing the roof lining was the tricky part. Not really that tricky, just tim consuming. Having to remove the interior lights, rear view mirror, all the dear god handles, the holders for the rear vertical cargo blinds and most of the interior trims. Once all that was out, was a matter of undoing the nuts.

Small steel plates were welded inside, holes bogged up and painted over in Metal Flake, giving it a shimmer close up.

And the front lights had that tint stuff already on the car when I bought it. One light has has to be replaced, so I'll have to find out a way to re-do it. I also removed (read: bashed, banged and cracked) the orange surrounds out of the front indicators, and put in Narva indicator bulbs that are semi-clear when off.

Yeah it has 18" Zauber wheels on it now. They suit the look of my car better than my 20"s do.
