nulon worn gearbox treatment

  Top of Page

Hi all,
just wanted to know if anyone has used the nulon G70 on their tranny and what were the results?
my tranny isnt that bad but can be notchy when cold and they claim it makes shifting much easier and its not just for worn trannies.

I just want to be careful before i buy it as i know some of these products can damage your car (i know some engines for example will be killed if you put in the "engine oil flush" treatment).

Cheers

I used it in my new gearbox which I drove about 3 times... Seemed to work ok for that brief period until I broke the box tongue

well i just bought a tube of the stuff, put it in and can i say like almost all of nulon products it really lives up to the reputation. It has made a huge difference in shifting, my gearbox was very good to start with but now it is creamy smooth haha.
will definitely need to get another tube for the rear diff as well.

Im also thinking of getting the 80,000km treatment which is supposed to be similar stuff for the engine.

actually, i just checked my dipstick (after the car was sitting overnight) and have noticed the oil on it was "bubly", as in it had air bubbles in it.
is this normal?

Is your gearbox oil made of milkshake?
If so yes.

Otherwise, no. It has suffered from 'Nulonfail'. This is a typical side effect of not using slick 50 and going the cheap nulon route.

I have no further to add.

its probably what was in the dipstick hole, its a bitch to get in isnt it tongue

i swear by it also, before i changed my dif and GB oil i thought i would give it a go as 3rd was really notchy and i was always having issues with first.
instantly better!

i changed my oil only 2 weeks later but it was good! i have contemplated going for it again.

Nulon is excellent, their whole range of products is a step above everything else sold at most store, i use their engine oil also.. good stuff all round

I was under the impression that nulon was shit, and i mean epic shit, you have bubbles because its not fiction modded.
but if you shop at supercheap or repco thats about all thats there + heaps of wankers that love nulon, when they tell you they run it in there VL thats a BAD sign.

performancelub.com is the only place to get your oils boys, save a shit load and its to your door.
Peace
