so the supercharger is for low rpm and then the turbo kicks in for higher rpm.

I would love to see this technology applied to their 2.0l engine in the GTi. That would go like sh!t off a shiny shovel.

Audi already did with the twin turbo S4 - the V6 one, not the current V8 engine

But yes, its not new technology. How ever, AFAIK not many cars have had decent reliabilty with this kind of setup. But if anyone can do it, its the Germans.

The GT is nice and a very good package with the handling and power. My dad just got his Golf r32 last week and the thing is a killer. We had the GT for a day while the r32 was getting the paint protection put on and the thing is a beast for a 1.4ltr. Dad even got the tires smoking off a little turn while giving it a bit of juice to merge into the traffic.

Possibly in the Vy Calais. Seems there the same car with some extra's (Kind of like GX > RX difference)

But there was of course the Calais turbo in the VL... although, thats not a factory holden is it, not in the same sence as the ECOTEC or the Almighty 202.
