by goth_thug on 01-06-10 08:05 AM 5th gear pops out and the gearbox seems to rock up and down when on the gas hard and when backing off. I was told I'd hav to get the box pulled out and looked at to work out wats wrong with 5th, guy who sold me the car said it was a bearing?? B4 I signed up to this site I was reading a thread about dualmass clutch and flywheel, and that most ppl replace them with a solid one instead. Well I was goin to do that too but I wanted to make sure I got everything right 1st. There is a kit on eBay including clutch and fly for $695, still not sure if I should buy it or get a trans shop to check it out 1st |

5th popping out won't have anything to do with the clutch/flywheel. It'll be an issue inside the gearbox. |
