Gday Buckley.

To be perfectly honest, i think you have Bucklie's (big_smile) chance at getting a reliable/drivable 250kw@w out of he RS motor. It is possible to get that out of an EJ motor, but i'll leave that up to you to find out how.

250ATW on a stock RS motor, you'e dreaming.

go to RSLC (www.rslibertyclub.org) and have a read of AdrianVos, MarckMcRS, Bazza's threads on their engine buildups.  They are getting close to 250, but they are all now employing EJ25STI short blocks with  lots of head work (read porting, new cams etc).  This is a costly excercise (10K) for the motor alone.  FMIC setup ~$1k.

How are you going to stop the thing when you get quick, the RS brakes aren't all that flash.  You'll need to start looking at Brembo's to stop that sort of power and there's the best part of $2K gone. You'll also need larger rims to fit the brembos say MY01 WRX and good rubber for $1K5.

Add another $1K for extra suspension bits like ALK/Swaybar and bracing and it might start to handle.

Ohh and if you want to be able to put the power to the ground, you're looking at another box (either 6spd or dogbox will not give you much change out of $7K).

Plus it's an old car and things are likely to break along the way, so say ~$2K.

It'll be a costly excercise and you'll need the best part of $30K to do the job properly if you actually want to drive it and not just roll it off a trailer and onto a dyno.

GL with it all though.

Dude,
I may have been a little rough with the opening, but it's a hard task to get that sort of power.  GL with it all though.

Cheers
