New to the forum (and subaru)!

Hey guys,

i've been into cars for many years now, but i've just recenly (well 4 months ago) bought my first Subaru!

This is only my daily as my other car is my project car and off the road most of the time while its being worked on.

Its a MY96 Liberty GX AWD, dark bluey purple (not sure what the colour is called?).

Its 1 owner until me (an old lady in St Peters in Adelaide). I bought it with 164,000km's on the clock but it looks like new inside and out!

I won't be doing too much to the car other than general servicing/repairs, some 16/17" rims, a CAI and an exhaust. I would love a rear spoiler too.

I look forward to spending some time on the forum and getting to know (and love) my new Liberty smile With any luck, I'll replace the 2gen liberty with a 4gen down the track because they are one of my favourite cars on the road today!

lol I wasn't gonna mention it because its a commodore, and worse its a VN, though it doesn't resemble one much anymore.

Alot of people tend to look and think "meh its just a bodykitted commodore" without knowing how much work I have actually put in. I've installed full electrics (from splicing into the loom and making a patch loom for climate control, to power mirrors and windows, remote start etc.), i've done a dash swap (both the dash pad and dash cluster for the trip computer and cruise control etc.) and i've done a full loom swap as well. I put a VS front end on the car, put WH statesman seats in + suspension and engine modifications and lots more.

I found a commodore made a good project car because theres such a large variety of parts and they're quite cheap (VS front end cost me $250, loom swap with attached bits $110, full climate control conversion was $63). And theres plenty to do from factory on a VN (handling, exterior, interior, engine-wise).
