New to Site and New Owner

Hi guys and gals, I'm new to the family after trading my VZ SS, picked up a new Liberty MY08 2.5I manual in Diamond Grey on the 12/11/07 what a great delight it was to have and drive, to have you ask ? yep had it 9 days with only 803kms on clock the on way to work one morning stopped and waiting to do a right turn and some unlicenced schoolie driving his mates car takes out the drivers side when he went to sleep at 05:55am ($14,000-00 damages) then runs from scene leaving his car behind I wont go there what I think of that person orgin. I live in the Yatala area and hope to be back on the road again before christmas. Look forward to chatting and swaping ideas as a member of the forum.

Thks aekOne, Only driven 803kms I want a real drive when I get it back. Rudy insurance won't write it off and give me a new one as it's $4,500.00 less than 1/2 the cost of the car to repair it. Changing insurance company when I get it back and sorted.

Revised damage now $19,000 New front right suspesion, steering rack, cross member, steering arms, front sway bar, lower control arms, wheel bearings, rear right suspension, rear suspension links, new mags and tyres right side.

Yeah when I get it back I'm going to Mt Cotton Driver Training centre and try it out on the skid pan to get the feel. :Dirol:

And yes Alex the black one in the first pic top left, he bloted from the scene and left his mates car sitting there. They got him at lunch time hit him with a heap of charges.

I can't believe how hot the new 08 models are, i thought everything was going to be looking like the ugly imprezzas... I'm not sure about your move from the SS though hehe.

Yeah Bumpty it was a culture shock but the price of fuel, insurance, rego all made my mind up, I do miss the 250Kw under the right foot though :Derisive:

Word from Subaru who are doing all mechanicial repairs should be ready early January 2008.

only if the damage exceeds 51% roughly half the value of the car but in somecase they still fix it dumb asses... hard luck mate
