hey everyone,

just recently signed up, been looking round a bit at the diy's and stuff... alot of good info. i've got a 99 gen3 wagon. this is my second subaru, the first one i had was a 2000 gen3 sedan, it was written off when a truck ran into the front driver side corner at an intersection which was pretty devo. got the wheels off it though, they were alright then bought this one a couple of weeks ago. looking forward to see what other possibilities this site offers.

i have some more but have to upload em on to photobucket & will post them when i can. it's got a bit of an xhaust, kings low springs in fornt and rear, just changed em last week, and 18" HP Jet chromees. I'm thinking of painting the brake calipers. but dont know what colour would look best on this car, i was thinking of maybe a gold, not chrome gold or anything. but i dont want it to stand out like dogs balls.

Very nice mate, Love the color. Looks to be in good nick.

Those wheels look nice too, although I'm not usually a fan of Chrome.

As for the Calipers, Red or Black does it for me. Either of which would look good with your body color.

Hi Nic,

Welcome to the site mate, congratulations on the purchase. In my personal opinion, I would like to see the callipers painted either the same colour as your car, or my personal choice would be appliance white.

Nice car! I love the rims. Where on the Sunny Coast are you? I can't say I've seen you around, but I only really drive around Maroochydore and up to Coolum for work. There's too many silver RX's up here. Mine included.

Not sure if you know, but every Thurs night about 4 or 5 of us from here rock up at the Alex Surf Club car park around 8pm, amongst other cars. You should come some time. Mines the one with Vic plates. Still.

yeah thanks. i've only had the car a couple of weeks so thats why you probs haven't seen me, but i dont go over to maroochydore that often, i live in Rosemount near Bli Bli. i'll see what im doing tomorrow night, might be able catch up with you. Thanks anyway.

thanks mate, i fell in love :heart: with the wheels when i came across them, i picked them up off ebay and they happeden to be 10 mins away from where i lived so i was able to try them on b4 i bought them. i wouldn't usually like chrome either but some cars they do suit quite nicely.

i ended up painting the calipers and centre of the hubs black. i didnt want them to stand out, i just wanted to make them look a bit better cause they looked a bit ****ty before. now they look alot better. i havent got pics yet. will put them up as soon as i get some.

yeah i was thinking of doing them red...but then someone said (which i sort of agree with) you have big wheels, why do you wanna go and make your little stock brakes stand out...maybe if i had like big brembo calipers it might be a bit different, but i just decided to keep it tidy looking...anyway. now i am about to put my amps and sub in the next week or 2.:Derisive: im just waiting on the wiring kit to turn up i bought off ebay. should get here tomorrow or monday.
