by cogwheel1 on 19-10-06 11:37 AM Glad to be in this forum. I have a number of classic and muscle cars from the 30's through the 70's including a model A, 68 Shelby GT500 KR convertable, 67 Corvette 427 Stingray roadster, Camaro's and some British sports cars and a 60 Morris Cooper. I also have a 1964 Bus (Kombi) double cab Pickup with a SVX 6 cylinder. I'm currently doing a Ej20tt into a Bug convertable conversion (actually its done except for the wiring harness) so I am in need of advice. Hope you all will help. Cheers |

I have a 93-96 model with the 4 plug ECU and 2 BOV's, I think you guys call them dump valves--whatever. The coils (coil over plug) have two wires not 3. I have found infinite diagrams for the later 3 plug ECU but never a single one for mine...I dont have them in front of me (I have 2) but I think they are both for an A/T. Since we dont have these cars over here in the States I have to guess where the placement of the components is, then try to find plugs for them. I think I have much of it sorted out except for the servo mounted on a long kind of diamond shaped plate which is annodized, with two studs for mounting and it looks like the servos in the servo box, and has a 2 wire connector. I think it may be mounted on the front left side and has hoses #10 & 23. I have a vacuum/pressure hose diagrams so I can determine which valve it is, but for the life of me I cant find a plug for it and I have two complete harnesses. |

I have a warehouse/shop that I keep those cars in (11) and only 4 are restored and drivable, and 2 more will soon be. It's called money and time and I don't have alot of either--a little more money than time! Also I do the resto's myself, except for the paint work, and that realy takes alot of time. The other thing is the price of these cars has skyrocketed in the last 2 years so they have to be restored well even though I have no intention of selling them--well maybe the 68 Camaro. Anyway, I still cant download the manuals on this site. Any ideas? |

Sounds like the duty solenoid for primary turbo. The wire colors should be yellow with red trace, this is the power supply, & red with white trace, this comes from pin 35 on ecu. The solenoid mounts inside L/H guard on original car. But the wiring runs in harness under R/H guard and under radiator with headlight wiring to L/H side. Hope this helps you. |

by cogwheel1 on 21-10-06 02:38 AM Thanks, that helped alot. The reason I coudn't find the connector for that solenoid is since it came across from the right side and under the radiator, it was one if the first wires I eliminated, thinking it was one of the lighting, horn etc. wires. Thats why I need a DIAGRAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just cant figure out why you cant find one on the web, but you can find one for any other 'blankin' series or year range or model of suby. This is killing me! I also eliminated the radiator fan wires thinking I was going to wire the fans to a temp switch in the radiator, but I may want to have it controlled by he ECU. what is the pin # and wire colors. By the way, are we still in the introduction threads? If so, I guess I should move this to the tech section. Next reply will be. Thanks, Russ |

Used to be when I picked them up. To give you an idea of the change thanks to e-bay (that's negative cause I don't sell mine I just want more and more and more--somebody stop me!) When I bought the 67 stingray big block roadster 8 years ago I paid $14000 US fully restored. Now its worth about $75000 US. Hey that sounds great for me because my cars are worth so much--but they're not for sale, so it just makes it so I cant collect any more. Really I just want to get a 70's Pantera and a 56-60 BMW Isetta, that will be lucky 13. Wierd huh! Cheers |
