New head gaskets on the cards.

Just had 137500 service on my Gen3 (only has 117k on it). Report came back with 'slight coolant leak LHS head gasket'.
Just got news from my local dealer that the Subaru Assured warranty mob are covering it. Approx $1800 worth

The funny thing is that an oil leak from a failed gasket is not covered but coolant leak is.

Not sure if anyone remembers this , my warranty problem , guess it paid to stand up for my rights. The warranty as already got me a free 100k service and new water pump.

thats excellent news. good to have some faith in subaru.

Well, it's actually the Subaru Assured people making the D.
But still good none the less.

Despite anything that Subaru advertise on their site the Subaru Assured warranty is actually run by a unrelated 3rd party company.

New head gaskets completed today and no charge :-)
The 3 days it took seemed to take forever but I can hardly complain.
