I'm the proud owner of a new MY08 3.0R Spec B sedan that now has about 10,000k on the clock. I love almost everything about the car. However, I do have a slight engine ping at around 3-4000 revs under load. It is more noticeable in Sports # mode. Unfortunately Subaru haven't been too helpful in fixing the problem. They have heard the ping themselves and advised that a slight ping is ok. I find that hard to believe for a new car. They've done compression tests etc and all appears ok. I'm going to try a new workshop and see if they can fix the problem. Anyone else had a similar problem with this model? Any advice would help.
